Box.net
Well,
I’ve finally done it…I have an expensive piece of paper saying I’m educated! So with that I’m currently looking for a job, so I’ve got time once again to pursue this thing called Blogging :D
Box.net is this great little thing to make sharing files that much easier. I discovered this through working with Rick Valicenti and John Pobojewski of Thirst (one of the many useful tricks and wonderful things learned from them) while taking a class or rather collaborating with them.
I first really started using this while doing some volunteer work for Stage Coach Theater of DeKalb, IL. This was an easy way to get files to multiple people and especially the print department they were working with. I found that I had a hard time figuring out just exactly what the printers needed for what project. So the solution was to package a variety of files into a shared source that would suit everyone’s needs. It worked very well. Needless to say I did figure out what type of files the printers needed, but I continued to use box as a resource.
Give it a go!
