Test Prints
Hi!
Welcome to my very first post. For my first post I’m going to talk about test prints!!!! Well my definition of a test print is the practice of getting the right print. Being a student of graphic design I do a lot of test prints! I print to look at color, texture, scaling, folding, experimentation of overlapping colors, certain papers, and the list could go on. A friend from school told me a while back about this great site called Aesthetic Apparatus. AND I LOVE their test prints.
Test prints are a beautiful mistake, a normally discarded useless piece of paper that has out lived its life in test printing. Yet, every so often (maybe more than you think) these wonderful accidents become a beautiful work of art. It’s great how visually appealing to the eye it is, and how the elements seem to be strategically placed by a cunning eye to convey some profound (or not) meaning to the viewer. These prints are once of a kind with a bit of worn character; although a bit pricey definitely worth every penny if you have some to spare! Check them out!
